In my career as a freelance makeup artist, I have had the opportunity to do makeup for A LOT of really great people. I always consider it a huge compliment when I am contracted out by others brands to work their photo shoots. After working weddings, talking to clients, getting my house ready to go on the market and celebrating my bestie’s birthday, I had to get a good nights rest and wake up early to sling makeup with the fabulous Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders.
Pur Cosmetics is a fantastic cosmetic brand that I have worked closely with for the last seven years(ish) and they are also the cosmetic sponsor for both the Atlanta Hawks as well as the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders. Pur’s makeup is super rad and their brand has only gotten better and better as the years go on. I mean…I literally buy their products basically every single time I step foot into an Ulta store. So good. Being contracted out to work their sponsorships has been amazing because I have the opportunity to work with products I truly enjoy and meet amazing people along the way.
Making it happen
Earrrrrrrly Sunday morning I drove to Studio Space Atlanta where I worked with the Pur team as we prepped thirty six cheerleaders for their preseason photo shoot. This is my fourth season working with the Falcons Cheerleaders and when we do these shoots, there is usually a small team of artists that come in (myself included) and we pound out makeup for all of these lovely ladies who then take their individual pictures for their photo cards and then do the famous group shot with all of the girls together. When initial makeup is finished, I stand to the side of the set and jump in to touch-up powder, lipstick and all of that fun stuff.
One of the perks of working this shoot each year is that the artists get to jump in at the end of the group shot and have our picture taken with the girls. We all had so much fun after a hard days work and I cannot wait for what I’m sure will be a crazy awesome time next year with the opening of the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Rise up!
